Thermæ, SPA or Wellness Centres
Nowadays, these definitions are perceived as referring to the same destination, a place where you can find hot pools and massages of all kinds and types... unfortunately, this is not correct!
Let's try to shed some light on this mystery. First of all, Thermae or Terme use hot water that flows directly from underground, in addition to the vapours and mud found at the springs, and are used to treat a wide range of diseases as well as to relieve chronic pain without the use of chemicals, strengthening the immune system through baths, aerosols, mud and all other methods of use.
The SPA (Salus Per Acquam or derived from the Belgian town of Spa) where the best benefit and the true source of health is through the use of water alone, both hot and cold but always rich in minerals acquired over time as it passes through the aquifers.
Wellness centres, on the other hand, are places where you can find swimming pools filled with artificially heated sanitary water, where the water has no benefits other than the pleasure of warmth on the skin.
Unfortunately, due to a lack of information and a lack of clarity on the part of those offering these services, there is a lot of confusion nowadays, leading users to think that bathing in a hot pool can have the same benefits as bathing in a thermal pool, but at this point, why go to the pool if you can hypothetically achieve the same result in your bathtub?Forgive me for asking, but I wanted to be provocative in order to better convey what I said earlier.
I will conclude this personal explanation by inviting everyone to try the benefits of thermal waters, on the skin, inhaled, drunk and in all the other ways in which they are used, in order to understand through their own experiences how "magical" the holistic world is.
Thank you.
